Questions

Availability

When can I use Tuckpack?

The app is in development and opens with the MakerWorld campaign. Until then, this site shows what it does.

Will there be a cardboard version?

It is planned, not available yet: Grid walls as flat profiles with half-height slots, cut on a laser or blade cutter and slotted together.

Products

Does my product have to be 3D printed?

No. Only the cradles are printed. You need a 3D model of the product.

I do not have a 3D model of my product.

A 3D scan or a model from the manufacturer works, as STL, 3MF or OBJ.

Does it work for any shape?

Most products that drop into the cradle from above. Very thin or spiky items may also need a padded mailer.

Can one box hold several products?

Yes, with the standard and organic layouts. Spiral-vase layouts hold one product.

Printing

What filament should I use?

The one you normally print with. The app computes grams for PLA and PETG.

Do I need a Bambu Lab printer?

No. Any slicer can print the STL; Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer get a 3MF with settings.

How long does printing take?

The app shows an estimate for each cradle. Slicers often report longer.

Can the cradles be reused?

Yes. They lift out in one piece and pack the same product again: for storage, a return or the next shipment.

Accounts and licences

Do I need an account?

Yes. A free account can try the app; downloading cradles needs a licence.

How do I get a licence?

Back the Tuckpack campaign on MakerWorld; every backer gets a code. After the campaign, licences are sold in the app.

Can I use it for my shop?

Yes, that is what it is for. The licence terms, published with the campaign, say how many accounts a code activates.

Privacy

Is my model kept private?

Yes. It is read in your browser and never uploaded.

What do you store?

With an account: your email, your licence, and the boxes and product settings you save, with a top-view outline of each product. See the privacy page.
